Okay, okay! I get it now. I have another police helicopter flying around overhead here at work!
So like I'm listening to this helicopter and begin to think that it's flying awfully low. So of course I check it out after yesterday's incident. Low and behold it's a police chopper. While I'm out taking a look-see a K-9 unit pulls into our driveway, but not inside the property and takes his dog out. A second sheriff arrives at the curb and then some bystander across the street says to the officers they saw their subject runnning along the fence and into either our property or the neighboring one next to us.
The officers ran down the street, after their quarry I imagine.
Hmm, I don't hear the chopper anymore...
*EDIT* They caught whomever it was. Whacky two days this has been. =P

So I get home with my 12 pack of Corona in cans (yeah, I'm ghetto like that), to see five news helicopters and the Highway Patrol's helicopter hovering above me. After they pass by I decide to check out the television to see what all the hubbub was about.
This is what I found: Woman Leads Police On Wild Chase In U-Haul Truck.
So at about 5:10pm she had made it onto Los Angeles Avenue which is a terrible, two-lane highway and generally packed during rush hour. Within minutes she was stuck with traffic, hops out and tries to carjack another vehicle in the oncoming lane when she was tackled to the ground by the CHP. I have to admit I cheered the cop as he took her down. =P

One of the drivers that does some loads for us just had his truck stolen. He parks his tractor-trailer truck along with some other drivers, (some of them also haul for us) in a lot where he and the others pay rent at. Sad, he had his trailers with a customer's load too. They have yet to find the truck.
