Eeeeee!!! There's sentients looking at mah profile!
I'm pretty awful about writing my own bio, but to be simple I have an appreciation for music (don't play though) and I love art (haven't drawn anything in years nor would I say "I am" an artist) and love to collect both. I'm also a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoy watching baseball live and on the television. There are many other things that bring me enjoyment, though I would prefer to go into detail on that later on.
Baseball fan of the LA Dodgers Because I'm a L.A. Dodgers fan you'll often see me post frequently about them and baseball in general. Ranging from criticism, rants, memories, accounts, facts and photos from games or team related topics. So be prepared to read and see journal posts about the only sport I get passionate about!
Also, I'd like to add that I appreciate the game of baseball and have made it a point to try to visit every ballpark by all 30 teams at least once. Its a tall order that means traveling to 30 cities. It will take me some time to complete, but I will manage it. In addition to visiting the ballparks I always make it a point to buy a team logo baseball and a program with each visit to mark the occasion with tangible souvenirs.
Furry: Yup, I'm your rare, male, domestic calico cat. Feed me sushi! "Cat. I'm a kitty cat and I dance, dance, dance and I dance, dance, dance."
About the fandom and why I'm in it: I became involved in the furry fandom sometime around late 2006 so its still relatively new to me. I first became exposed to it through the online environs of the place called Second Life. Crazy place that is too, but these days I don't login to it so not much to say about that.
Anyway, September of 2006 I began noticing folks in Second Life with anthropomorphic avatars. My curiosity led me to get one of them and I liked the new look so stuck with it. After a while I found places where many of them congregated at and eventually found a place that I would frequent quite often called "The Dragon's Roost" home to the Furry Vermin. After some time hanging out there I became good friends with many of the residents that founded and/or took part in the spot.
Through those new found friendships I found myself more immersed in the fandom and was introduced to the art aspects of it, the fursuiting and conventions. Granted there is a lot of stigma attached to the fandom, but like any other fandom there are numerous aspects to it. Personally, I love the friends I've made, the artists I've met and viewed, the wonderful detail and skill they have in addition to those that produce their own fursuit costumes and performances. The conventions have been great fun for me too and allows me to meet up with all my friends that I've made over the years from different parts of the country as well as outside of it. Fun and memories I wouldn't trade away.
Travel: I love to go places and see people whenever I am able to. I tend to use concerts, baseball games, friends and conventions as the perfect excuse to visit people, places, cities and countries I've never been to before.
I guess you could say I have a bit of a wanderlust. I enjoy seeing new places or revisiting familiar ones. Spending time with friends is my favorite part and more fun than traveling alone. The trouble is I rarely find friends to travel with. However, I often manage to find friends or make arrangements with them at my destinations.
About LiveJournal: Its still relatively new to me and I'm not sure who reads my LJ, but its public at the moment for all to read and comment on. If it becomes problematic then I may consider filtering future posts that may be considered less than public and more geared for friends or simply private. So far so good though!
So far I have added communities that have sparked my interest or that I have or will be participating in, such as conventions. I've also added particular artists to my list of friends that I enjoy or may have met and commissioned before. I hope you don't mind if I do add some of you. *grin* I really don't have that many friends on LJ and when I meet them or have conversed with them in Second Life or elsewhere I will add them accordingly. If you wish to add me as a friend, that's all good by me. Especially if you have met me or know me already. If you haven't, introduce yourself and say, "Hello!"
Bio: Hippie, Furry, Metalhead, Baseball Fan, Food Lover, Drinker of Beer, Devourer of Sushi, Destroyer of Curtains, Whatever.
Facts about me: I'm 5'9" and about 120 lbs. Long brown hair and brown eyes. To give you an idea about my frame I can fit into a junior miss' size 0 jeans, but fit more comfortably in a size 1. Yeah, I'm that slender! :P
